Whispering AI specialists, the hushed virtuosos who coax meaning from murmurs, have quietly annexed the crown once worn by the “sexiest job of the 21st century”. (Apologies to Harvard Business Review; even the sexiest jobs suffer from inflationary pressures.)These soft-spoken savants are not merely surviving the generative-AI rollercoaster; they are redesigning the ride, adding velvet restraints and mood lighting. To avoid being flung into the souvenir shop of obsolescence, you must master ten career-extending hacks. Consider them the conversational equivalent of whispering sweet nothings into a supercomputer’s ear: intimate, precise, and oddly lucrative.

The subject of leadership, like strategy, is very close to me, and these are facets of my knowledge and experience that I constantly try to improve. At first, I ignored it. I really like the author, but I’m generally not a fan of this type of ‘content’; of top 10 lists or cute collections or amazing pussy cat videos on YouTube, although I respect other people’s tastes.

This is the first in a series of management talking points. The name Leadership 7s has been influenced by rugby, which is quite possibly the emblematic game of my youth and of the home country of my Mom and Dad, Wales.
