Dud: Why do some jokers claim data warehousing is just about technology?

Pete: An excellent question, Dud. Look at it this way. Just as some people might imagine thinking that getting a Michelin star for your restaurant is all about pots, pans, gadgets and cookers, and nothing else. Some dopes believe that data warehousing is just about technology.

Dud: Why’s that then, Pete.

Pete: It’s simple, Dud. Technology products are tangible, and data, information, and knowledge are abstract and require higher thought. That’s why your technology-hugging critical-thinking-dodgers talk techno-babble, not very cohesively or coherently.

Dud: A bit like Mister Chopper Dipper Spiggot saying that “meditation makes the entire data platform go into a meadow of coherence?”

Pete: No!
