Pip: Let’s start with the audiobook itself.

Pip: So the idea is that you can read it, or you can listen to it, and the site becomes the delivery mechanism for both. That’s a straightforward but genuinely useful thing to do with a novel.
Mara: Chapter 1, titled Genesis, is where it begins — the opening of the story, setting up the world and the premise. The imagery accompanying it is telling: a winding path leading toward a geometric city, which frames the journey the novel is inviting the listener on.
Pip: A winding path to a geometric city. If that’s not a description of strategy consulting, I don’t know what is.
Mara: Chapter 2, titled Becci, introduces its namesake character — and the visual register shifts. Ruined stone towers overlooking a river valley beneath storm clouds, birds overhead. The atmosphere is considerably darker than the opening.
Pip: The imagery is doing real work there. You go from a hopeful path toward a city to ruins under a storm — that’s a tonal shift the listener feels before they’ve heard a word.
Mara: Chapter 3, titled Ricky Arrives, carries the same storm-and-ruin imagery, which suggests Ricky’s entrance doesn’t exactly brighten the mood. All three chapters link back to the main audiobook index post, and each links out to the Kindle edition for anyone who wants to get ahead of the audio release schedule.
Pip: Three chapters, a hub page, and a Kindle link — the infrastructure is there for anyone who wants to follow this as it unfolds.
Mara: The site is essentially serialising the novel in audio, which means listeners can drop in chapter by chapter as they’re published rather than waiting for a complete release.
Pip: A novel arriving chapter by chapter — there’s something old-fashioned about it, in the best sense.
Mara: Serialisation has a long history. Next time, we’ll see what else the site is working through.
